Our Story
Bailey Boys Car Seats was founded with a vital mission: to raise awareness about the critical importance of properly securing children in passenger vehicles. This initiative was born from a profound tragedy—the devastating car accident that claimed the lives of two young brothers, Knowledge, age 5, and Kingston, age 4, along with their beloved mother, Shatasha.

Knowledge and Kingston were spirited, curious boys who brought joy and energy wherever they went. They were known for their boundless enthusiasm and their love for exploring the world around them. The park was a favorite destination, where they delighted in play and adventure, and they cherished their time spent with family, always eager for new experiences and connections.

As the Founder of Bailey Boys Car Seats, Valerie Bailey-Hearns, the beloved grandmother of Knowledge and Kingston, brings a deeply personal touch to her leadership role. Her extensive experience in both the non-profit and private sectors equips her with a unique and impactful skill set that profoundly enhances our organization.
Program Coordinator
Kierra Bailey
As the Program Coordinator and aunt of Knowledge and Kingston Bailey, Kierra is a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician who manages car seat distribution, training sessions, and installation assistance. She also serves as the Fundraising Coordinator, developing and executing campaigns to support the nonprofit’s initiatives. Her dual role is key to providing safety resources and securing financial support for Bailey Boys Car Seats.
Communications Specialist
Malaana Jackson-Perry
Grand aunt to Knowledge and Kingston Bailey, is the Communication Specialist for Bailey Boys Car Seats. She oversees outreach efforts, crafts messages about car seat safety, and manages strategies for promoting the nonprofit’s car seat distribution, training sessions, and installation assistance. As a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, Malaana also coordinates training workshops to ensure families and community partners receive expert guidance on car seat use and installation.
Fundraising Coordinator
Austin Bailey
The uncle of Knowledge and Kingston Bailey, is the Fundraising Coordinator and Outreach Specialist for Bailey Boys Car Seats. As a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, he oversees fundraising campaigns, organizes events, and builds donor relationships. Austin also manages outreach programs to boost community engagement and support the nonprofit’s mission of promoting child passenger safety.
Treasurer
Latrell Haynes
As the Treasurer of Bailey Boys Car Seats Incorporated, Latrell Haynes oversees the organization’s finances, ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency. She manages budgeting, financial reporting, and implements proper financial controls to maintain the integrity of our resources. In addition to her financial expertise, Latrell is a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, bringing a vital perspective to our mission of promoting car seat safety.
